Faculty on the Rise: Celebrating Promotions
Academic promotions are an exciting career milestone and a meaningful recognition for exceptional performance. On January 30, 2025, Einstein held its inaugural promotion party, honoring the 82 faculty members who were promoted to senior professor rank in 2024. The event was hosted by Yaron Tomer, M.D., the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Dean and chief academic officer at Montefiore Einstein, and organized by the office of faculty affairs and strategic planning.

“This is a special moment to celebrate with our faculty,” said Dr. Tomer. “Rising in the academic ranks requires dedication and hard work and it’s an achievement we felt was important to recognize. Congratulations to the faculty who were promoted, their mentors, and the department chairs who have supported them.”
Fifty-two of the honorees celebrated becoming associate professor and 32 were elevated to the rank of professor. Join the Einstein community in celebrating them.
