First Annual Spring Faculty Celebration Honors Achievements and Decades of Service
The inaugural spring faculty celebration held in Lubin Dining Hall on June 18, honored faculty for their achievements and contributions to the College of Medicine during the last academic year, including prestigious endowed chair and emeritus appointments, external prizes, and years of service

“While we are here to celebrate specific award recipients today, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the vital contributions of all our faculty,” said Yaron Tomer, M.D., the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Dean at Einstein and chief academic officer at Montefiore Einstein. “Every one of you plays a critical role in shaping the future of medicine and inspiring the next generation of clinicians and researchers. Your dedication not only impacts your colleagues but also profoundly affects our students, who look to you as role models and mentors.”

Dean Tomer also announced four new awards, which will be celebrated at next year's event, that will honor those with exceptional talent who go above and beyond in their area.
The awards, given by the dean, will be:
Rising star research award
- Mentoring award
- Institutional service award
- Community service award
