New Script Center Make Prescription Pick-up Easy
Einstein employees, faculty and students who are enrolled in the MontePrime EPO, MonteCare EPO, or MonteCare PPO, will now find it easier and more convenient to have prescriptions filled at the Montefiore Outpatient Pharmacy, which will be delivered to Einstein’s campus via our new ScriptCenter located on the first floor of the Gruss Magnetic Resonance Research Center, just past the Student Café.
Carla Pasquali, director of benefits, with Montefiore pharmacist Steven Tuckman as they prepare to load items into the Script CenterThis pharmacist-filled prescription kiosk will be loaded daily with prescriptions that have been filled at Montefiore. It will also be stocked with wellness items, such as ibuprofen, cough drops and other over-the-counter items that will be available for purchase.
As part of employees’ prescription drug benefits, prescriptions can be filled at the Montefiore Outpatient Pharmacy at a discount. Employees must be enrolled in the ScriptCenter to be able to pick-up any prescriptions through the kiosk; this can be done online or at the kiosk. One simply needs to instruct their doctor to select the Montefiore Medical Center Pharmacy electronic address at 111 East 210 Street, Bronx, NY 10467, when he or she is prescribing their medication. The prescription will be filled and delivered to the ScriptCenter for pick up, with the exception of oversized items and those requiring refrigeration--which must be picked up at the Einstein Pharmacy, in Weiler Hospital.
Delivery of prescriptions to the ScriptCenter began on Monday, November 7, 2016. Prescriptions that are received at the Montefiore Outpatient Pharmacy by 11 a.m., Monday through Friday, will be ready for pick-up at the ScriptCenter after 2 p.m. the same day. Individuals will be notified once their prescription has been loaded into the ScriptCenter.
Please note: The Montefiore Outpatient Pharmacy is currently only available for employees enrolled in a Montefiore health plan.
