Einstein's Graduate Programs in the Biomedical Sciences recently hosted its 21st Julius Marmur Symposium. The annual event, established in memory of Einstein faculty member and pioneering molecular biologist Dr. Julius Marmur, recognizes exemplary graduate student research. The four Ph.D. students who received this year's Marmur Research Award—Longyue (Lily) Cao, Halley Pierce, Robert Stanley and Anna Wec—presented their work during the program’s morning session. The afternoon poster session and reception at Lubin Dining Hall featured research by more than 65 members of the graduate student body. Dr. Marmur’s widow, Mildred Marmur, was among the event’s attendees.
