Introducing the BRAVO! Program
Every year, the human resources department hosts the employee service recognition ceremony to honor employees who have achieved milestone anniversaries of service to the College of Medicine and receive special acknowledgment for their dedication to Einstein. But there are times when employees deserve special recognition that isn’t tied to years of service. And a new program, Bravo!, aims to offer employees an avenue through which they can nominate fellow Einstein staffers to receive this special accolade.
On the BRAVO! site, you can choose from a several card designs to find just the right one for sending a BRAVO! to recognize outstanding achievement or service
“Perhaps you’ve observed someone or a group of employees go above and beyond the normal scope of their job duties and that effort really made a difference for you or others,” offered Robert Cancellieri, director of employee relations in human resources. “Or you know an individual whose actions embody Einstein’s values in a meaningful way. Or maybe it’s that they made a distinctive contribution to the Einstein community that seems deserving of a ‘thank you.’ You can fill out a “Bravo!” nomination form, which includes a custom message that will get delivered to the individual as an on-line postcard.”
The nominating process includes selecting from several “thank you” postcard designs and asks that you note the name(s), department, and e-mail of the nominee, along with the date, location, and summary of why you are nominating the individual(s). It also provides space for crafting a specific message that will go on the postcard. Once completed, the nomination form is sent to human resources where it is reviewed.
“We just make sure that the “Bravo!” nomination reflects an effort that is above and beyond one’s general job duties, or exemplifies the values of compassion and inclusion that are central to Einstein’s mission,” noted Yvonne Ramirez, vice president of human resources and diversity officer. “The program represents another aspect of the new Einstein way through which we can celebrate members of our community in a respectful and meaningful way.”
