A Founding Faculty Member Recalls Einstein’s Beginnings
Irving London, M.D., founding chair of medicine at Einstein, was born on July 24, 1918. On May 23, 2018, just two months shy of his centennial birthday, Dr. London passed away. In a 2014 interview, he shared his thoughts on the founding of Einstein and on Einstein today. Those who knew Dr. London can share their memories on his remembrance page. Or members of the Einstein community can share thoughts on his continuing influence at Einstein and in the field of medicine.
Editor’s Note: This past May our campus community also mourned the losses of Drs. Norman Fleischer, Deborah Kligler, and Stanley Crain. Share memories of each on respective remembrance pages for them, as well as for Dr. Isabelle Rapin and Billy Holland, who died in 2017.
