Staff, Postdocs, and Faculty Can Spring into Shape at Falk
Human resources will soon kick off Einstein’s Employee Wellness Program. As a lead-up to this new program, the department has teamed with the Falk Recreation Center to help staff, postdoctoral research fellows, and faculty “spring into shape,” with an offering of free fitness classes running from March 19 through May 9, 2019. The classes—Weightlifting 101 on Tuesdays, Dance Cardio on Wednesdays, and Beginners Yoga on Thursdays—are for Einstein staff, postdocs, and faculty only.
“These free fitness classes, together with our Weight Watchers @ Work program, are sponsored by Einstein’s Wellness Committee, and are just the start of things to come,” said Carla Pasquali, director of employee benefits at Einstein. “We want to emphasize the ‘well’ in ‘wellness’ so that staff, postdocs, and faculty can attend to their health needs as well as their work goals.”
“We’re excited to offer these free classes to Einstein employees,” said Andrew Adham, manager of the Falk Center. “If you haven’t seen our facilities or checked out our new cardio machines and other equipment, I think you’ll find we have a lot to offer to help you with fitness and relieving stress.”
No membership is required for staff, postdocs, or faculty to participate. Simply slip into your gym clothes, lace up your sneakers, show Falk staff your Einstein ID, and come take a class.
