Einstein Garners Top Ranking in Forbes Listing of Midsize Workplaces
In the April 22, 2019 issue of Forbes, Einstein was recognized as one of the country’s best midsize employers in 2019. Forbes ranked Einstein in the top 200 overall nationally among midsize employers and also listed Einstein:
- 3rd within the education category in New York State,
- 9th within the education category nationally, and
- 16th among all midsize employers with New York State headquarters.
The rankings were based on anonymous online surveys of more than 50,000 full- and part-time employees of midsize and large companies employing at least 1,000 people in their U.S. operations.
“Einstein has a remarkable community, known for its collaborative spirit and supportive environment, and it’s immensely gratifying to have that recognized,” said Yvonne Ramirez, vice president of human resources and diversity at Einstein. “We’re delighted and proud to be recognized as a top employer by Forbes.”
Einstein Celebrates Service of Its Employees
Among the ways that Einstein recognizes members of the College of Medicine community is the annual staff recognition ceremony, hosted by human resources. This past December, 148 employees were recognized for celebrating milestone work anniversaries at Einstein – from 5 to 50 years. In addition, three individuals were honored as this year’s administrative safety award recipients and four other individuals were honored as inaugural recipients of Einstein Staff Recognition Awards. You can view a listing of all honorees in the event program and enjoy photos from the event in the gallery below.
Applauding Excellence
Human resources introduced its BRAVO! program in June 2018, to offer members of the Einstein community a way in which they can share their appreciation of colleagues who go above and beyond in the workplace. To mark the program’s first anniversary, watch for the special “Bravo!” slideshow that will soon post on Inside Einstein; it celebrates 14 individuals who received multiple BRAVOs from other members of the Einstein community prior to the end of 2018. To date, 115 employees from throughout the College of Medicine have received this special recognition for their work.
Upcoming Event to Offer Thanks
Human resources also hosts an annual barbecue to show the College of Medicine’s appreciation for its community members. This year’s Einstein Appreciation Day is scheduled for Tuesday, June 18, 2019, from noon to 2 p.m., in the Central Courtyard (Rain Date: June 19). Be sure to mark your calendars and plan to attend!
