Workshop Will Offer Helpful Info About COVID-19 and Long COVID
In March 2020, our world changed when we learned about COVID-19 and the risk it posed to our health and well-being. Nearly two-and-a-half years have passed now, and the virus and its variants have become a part of everyone’s life. Even so, understanding the current landscape of treatments and potential long-term side effects commonly referred to as “long COVID” is ever-changing and often confusing.
To answer key questions and offer insights related to ongoing developments surrounding COVID-19, long COVID, the various variants of the virus, and available treatments, Drs. Marjan Islam, Seth Congdon, and Priya Nori--medical directors of the COVID-19 Recovery Clinic and of the COVID-19 Outpatient Therapeutics Program, respectively--have teamed up to offer a workshop, “COVID and Long COVID: Know & Share the Facts” on Thursday, July 21, 2022, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The workshop is hosted in partnership with the Montefiore Einstein To Your Health wellness program.
“These Montefiore specialists will be equipped with latest COVID-19 information and will share Montefiore resources that may be helpful to you and your family,” noted Carla Pasquali, director of benefits in Einstein’s human resources department. “Be sure to register to attend, and you will receive the link for accessing the Zoom presentation.”
She added, “We’re so fortunate to have access to these experts, who can help us better understand and navigate the often changing and confusing information often associated with COVID-19 and long COVID.”
