Einstein Marks Constitution Day 2022
Each year Einstein celebrates Constitution Day on or about the document’s anniversary on September 17. As an institution that receives federal funding, our offices of legal counsel and of grant support offer members of the Einstein community an opportunity to learn about the document that has framed our nation’s democracy for 235 years.
Since September 17 is a Saturday, this year’s event will take place on Thursday, September 15, from noon to 3 p.m., along Main Street, in Forchheimer. Your knowledge concerning aspects of our U.S. Constitution will be put to test through a set of trivia questions.
“All participants will win fun prizes, regardless of how well they do,” noted Shannon Henderson, a member of the general counsel team who crafted the 10 questions. “All you have to do is answer them to the best of your knowledge. Some are multiple choice and the rest are true/false.”
“We’ll also be on hand to offer insights into the correct answers and to discuss aspects of the Constitution about which our community members may have questions,” added Shannon’s colleague and fellow attorney Vincenzo Lippiello.
Those stopping by Main Street for the festivities also can get their own miniature copy of the Constitution while supplies last. “When it comes to historic documents for our nation, there are none more important,” observed Dr. Dhanonjoy Saha, director of grant support. “It defines our democracy.”
